Hi! Let me introduce our fifth GB, Aster Ergo TKL.

Space inspired ergo tkl layout keyboard.

[About the GB]

- GB Date
   till : 30th April 2022

- There will be three versions
   Premium : with brass weight
   Standard : with aluminium weight
   Economic : without weight(only engraving)

- MOQ
   Premium + Standard version : 50 sets
   Economic version : 50 sets

   If one of both versions does not match the MOQ, will give chance to opt for another version.
   If both versions do not match the MOQ, will make a vote and will leave just one version and the other version will be cancelled.

- Max Quantity
   Premium version : 150 sets
   Standard version : 100 sets
   Economic version : 150 sets

- Estimated delivery time : Dec. 2022 or Jan. 2023


[Specification]

- Typing Angle : 7 degrees

- WKL only

- Supports ANSI/ISO

- Mounting Style : Top mounted

- With or Without Patterned Top

- Weight : Premium 3.48 Kg / Standard and Economic 2.0 Kg (unbuilt and w/ plate and w/o PCB)

- Effective Keyboard Height : 23mm(from bottom of the bottom case to the top of the space bar swtich)

- Color :
   Top - Navy, Gray, Silver, Rose Gold
   Bottom - Navy, Gray, Silver, Gold
   Brass Weight(for Premium version) - Sandblasted and UV Silkscreen printed on the visible side(Gold or Silver)
   Alu Weight(for Standard version) - Same color as the top case
   Plate -  the plate colour will be Silver for Navy, Gray, Silver Bottom and Gold for Gold Bottom

- Badge : Aluminium / colour will be same as the bottom case

- Cat logo and indicators : there are two options
   With cat logo and two indicators
   Without cat logo and no indicators

- Includes
   Keyboard Top/Bottom (and Weight for Premium and Standard version)
   Aluminium Plate
   PCB (Solder) - QMK/VIA compatible
   Bumpons/Screws/Microfiber pouch/Package etc.

- Extras : PCB(solder) / Plate(top mount or o-ring gasket)

- Final Price :
   Economic version - 590 USD
   Standard version - 680 USD
   Premium version - 780 USD

looks like a pretty well done ergo TKL but it's a shame it's cost is so high

Seems pretty reasonable. It’s not a simple rectangle and there is more machining so yeah $600 seems fine to me.

Everything's prices have been increased steeply recently, especially raw material cost. Also Aster has many 3d-machined parts, which means much longer machining time is required than 2d-machining(mostly rectangle desinged keyboards are machined 2d).

We had also concerned about the price, so tried to lower it. If you consider eco version, the price isn't too high considering other ergo tkls.

This design looks great. The top mount plate looks to be built to flex a bit. Seems very thoughtfully done.

I grabbed one with an extra gasket mount plate and extra PCB. Can’t wait!

I grabbed a stainless steel gasket mount plate, hoping it will be stiffer than the top mount.
