Title: Anyone in NOLA
Post by: Phaedrus2129 on Wed, 22 September 2010, 15:25:42
... May get to look at that engineering sample I'm getting from XArmor, since I'm going to be taking it out in various public locales to see how the noise bothers people, and also to see how strangers react to the feel of the keyboard. So if anyone is near NOLA or desperate enough to get a look at what's coming up to get a flight down here, let me know. ;)

Odds of anyone saying "yes" = 1/10,000

I miss New Orleans.  One more reason I wish I was going this year.  (I had been getting annual trips).

Damn, it's like the Wild West out there.  Detroit would have been higher, but with the recession, the people can't afford guns like they used to.

I would have thought Bodymore, MA would have been up there, too, but I think they have been doing a lot of work there to clean up that town.  *Cue pic of Bunny Colvin*

Stay in the French quarter, garden district, central business district, and Algiers and you're fine. It's the east and northeast parts of the city that are rough.

STL is not a shocker.  When I lived there in the late eighties, the population was over a million.  The violence got so bad there, it forced the citizens to leave.

Baltimore is on that list.  I completely missed it.

That's one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.

Ok, it isn't as awesome as I thought it was going to be. But apparently they're only testing out aspects of the design. That's fine. It's still moderately awesome.
