Hira70 is a frl tkl that features leaf spring gasket mount with a unique sand blasted brass weight. Front height of 19mm
and great aesthetics to add on to that. This board also features clacky acoustics from the brass weight.
The inspiration behind this project is "hira" which means a diamond/gem in Punjabi. Punjabi most commonly spoke in my birth place Punjab.
Hira being the main point of the board, the wide brass weight is CNCd and sand blasted that resembles a diamond.

Hira70 has developed and improved over the year, almost being 2 years since i started working on this project. There have been multiple versions of this IC, This being the latest version.
I’ve put effort in improving renders, design, changing manufacturers and what’s most important is the feedback. The entire project has been evolving as my design skills improve,
i make changes and care how the user will view this board. I have made some changes and added additional colour after doing a poll in the discord.
After changing 3 manufacturers and Prototyping 3 different version of the Hira70.
I am extremely proud and confident to do a group buy for the Hira70, letting others enjoy the typing experience and aesthetics of this board.
All the support that I’ve gotten from my friends and people in the discord has deeply motivated me to carry on developing this. Thank you reading my Interest Check for the Hira70.

nice project and concept. only thing of note to me is the stab cutouts for the plate, there arent any wire cuts or clearance cuts like you usually see on plates like the jane v2 plate for example.  is there a reason for that or did you find it wasn't necessary?

The stab cut outs clearance are perfectly fine on all the plates I have tested, so far ive tested Tx stabs, durock stabs and cherry. none of them had any issues

So, how would a half plate and hotswap pcb work? AFAIK those sockets don't really grip the switches with a ton of force, I'd be a bit worried about the switches falling out

Half Plate is best suited for Soldered PCB and not for Hotswap pcb at all. Half Plate is really an option for people who would like a bit of bounce near the alphas region when typing with a soldered PCB. I would try my best to inform people before buying the keyboard about Hotswap and Half Plates :)

Yes, I agree, if they're both an option it would be best to either have a very visible disclaimer about it or just not allow the purchase of a hotswap PCB/half plate configuration for a full board.

Totally agree. I wish the script fad would go away in keyboard design lol

But love the board otherwise. Seriously great job on the weight! If you switched the signature Hira with the text Hira that is on the inside of the weight, it'd be down for this board. Nice job  :thumb:

Thanks alot for the kind words. The polycarbonate frame around the weight is to cover the daughter board, so its mostly hidden. I chose PC because of acoustic reasons, i have been thinking of releasing the file of the cover once gb is done. so people can experiment with different materials. Stainless Steel, brass, copper etc.

Given the OP hasnt given updates then that option was most likely dropped. I was interested but only without the signature.

Hey, Apologies for this. As a designer i wanted to give the buyers freedom to choose different top options for the engraving but from a vendor view it’s too much hassle and logistical annoyance. Unfortunately it’s no longer an option. Also the plate files will be released for those who want to get it a different material, edit it etc.
