PANTONE DESKMAT


Welcome to the IC for PANTONE DESKMAT.
These six colors have been carefully chosen to complement as many boards as possible and
provide a splash of color to your space without drawing too much attention from your sets.

I am currently discussing a licensing agreement with Pantone, and as a small time creator,
any follows to my IG / filling in the IC would really help boost my standing with them. Thank
you and I hope to see you all on the other end!

+ Should we not come to an agreement, I'll be re-working the mats as I believe the colors
are the main point of these mats in the first place.

You might want to check the legality of this.
If I recall correctly, Pantone is pretty strict about distinct commercial use of their colors... and having the company name on the deskpad itself is probably a bit risqué.
Would be pretty sick if this could be a licensed release though!

Wonderfully executed! Will definitely be keeping an eye out for this to go live- GLWIC
Can't help but feel like a beige/cream pantone would pair really nicely with a majority of the stock beige sets out there such as 9009- if possible please consider replacing or the addition of a beige/cream pantone!

Did you get the pantone license for using their trade dress? Cause they have been known to be pretty litigious about that.

Terrible name, interesting concept.

Would like a version without the white bottom section as that is what usually gets super dirty for me... which I guess breaks the whole pantone catalog look

If the licensing doesn't go through I'll definitely try to rework it as the colors itself are the main attraction imo.


As a note, I'm a small time creator and any follows to my insta or filling out the IC would really help boost my standing when discussing the licensing agreement. I've updated the post to clarify this.

1. You would run into legal issues if Pantone notices/cares about this.
2. Most deskmats manus (at least of the many that I have experience with) haven't even heard of Pantone. I doubt their ability to match to physical samples.
3. These are cloth color codes right? Do Pantone even offer chips for these color codes? Just curious to know.

+1 I think the gray will pair nicely with a lot of other sets aswell
