Hi, I'm Dunne, this is the first TKL design that I want to share with you all, and a board that I’ve been working on for a while.

I’ll keep the inspiration stuff short since it is a TKL.

Revisions

Prototype 1
More
- Screws: Adjusted screw head diameters, removed x1 bottom screw above the mask, adjusted internal screw threading
- Side profile: Adjusted side profile to be less sharp
- Adjusted case alignment pillars
- Front height: Adjusted front height by -1mm (now sits at 19.2mm)
- Internals: Adjusted internals for more breathing room for specific builds and their sound profiles
- Plate: Adjusted plate flex cuts for aluminum and PC

Prototype 2
More
- Internals: Adjusted it back to be the 1st prototype's sound and feel, with slight resonance hollowness in proto 2
- Adjusted top case's height to be 19.8mm

Timeline/To-Do

- Revise current proto and order 2nd prototype
- Gather necessary feedback to gauge unit allocation, external aluminum weight color options, and sales format/pricing
- Send to Scuffed_Boards and LightningXI for review
- Start GB when all the above aspects have been finalized and I'm happy with the board's state. GB Late or Early November.

Based on Poll and Decisions

[07/23/2022]

- External Alu Weight Options: Burgundy, Black, Gray, Silver, and Red will be options
-"Keeping it WKL" is outweighing WK option: WKL is solely sorry
- FCFS is outweighing but I would favor that everyone has a fair chance to get a board instead of a faster WiFi connection. The sales format will be raffled

Yeah it's a standard Jane V2 but I'll take more pics of it when the 2nd proto comes in.

This is very nice. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the engraving – something about the proprotions of the face make it look more like a human than a kitsune. Apart from that, looks great GLWIC :thumb:

It's not crazy flex but it has a decent amount of bounce (from the board's vibrations and mounting positions) when typing normally in both Top/O-Ring, I'd say.

Thanks a bunch, it might be the angle of the mask via the pics since it's quite rounded IRL whilst looking at it top-down

Fun design, but perhaps doing a near 1:1 with the Jane v2 CE plate should be reconsidered.
One of v2 CEs biggest shortcomings was how subpar the top-mount experience was for it. Offering some sort of relief on those tabs, which only requires modification of the plate itself without you having to rework the case itself, could be a good play to just make it a better typing experience.
Overall, like what you've done with this design, definitely digging that side profile!

Thanks for the nice words and mention regarding the plate tabs! I adjusted the plates now and added+/- flex cuts to try to optimize a better top mount experience for both plate variants (Alu & PC).

Weight engraving is honestly kinda bad (small eyes, low nose relative to the eyes make the cat look odd. Is the idea that the eyes and whiskers are constructed from typographic glyphs?) but the rest of the board is very nicely designed so I'll be trying for this!
