Damn, can’t even get proper 40% row profiles in our renders

No bad. Simple. Will you be open sourcing the files like the Bakeneko?

I will be providing files for the edgecuts, JST placement, and plates for various layouts. :thumb:

Great! Thanks for the follow up!

275?????????????????????????????
yea maybe with the moq of the one person who wants in on this
Apologies if you're dissatisfied with the price or uninterested in the product. This is a pre-prototype keyboard that is likely to go through another revision before being offered in a groupbuy. The price given above is a very rough estimate.
I have also received over 150 responses to my various interest checks--I am confident that there is a demand for a 40% like the Koneko.
Mod Edit: Removed the quoted post and a couple responses in order to keep the thread clean. Kept this response as it is informative/valuable. :thumb:

Pretty cool

2x2.25 spaces for ortho? gonna be hard to kit. 2x2u works great.

Would a 2.25u + 2.75u split be better? Guess it isn't ortho then? Not sure! Thank you for your feedback though, trying to get a better feel on what the ortholinear folks want!
-
I'd love to get this with the ortho pcb, but it looks like you didn't put much thought or did enough research to realize the layout options for ortho kinda suck and aren't really viable
I offer this as a suggestion:

Not sure if you can offer an HHKB case so just leaving the idea out there.

Koneko40 - supports all the spacebars except the one you are likely to own :))

Apologies for that, I'm relatively new to 40% keyboards. I intend to add the suggestions given above! Thank you for your feedback.

Most ortho folks are going to be used to seeing 2x2u.

Love the 10u layout add.
-
Update: redesigned after a few months of daily driving. Created a hotswap PCB--will likely do both ortho and stagger hotswap. Working with @pensa.73 on Instagram for renders now. Does a great job!
-
Strongly encourage you to consider 2x2u for ortho. Heck, even stagger layout too.
-
UPDATE: prototypes have finished at manufacturer. Will update once they are in hand.

Updated with pictures of protos. Everything works! Need to do a refresh of the PCB and get the stagger one ready to go.
