Those magnets look pretty strong. I’d like to see a durability test if they are adhesive based and also see how hard it is to open the case

Edit just realized this is the gb post not the ic. I missed the ic glwgb

The magnets are indeed quite strong but a lot of experimenting has gone into this. In the first protos it was VERY hard to open the case when fully assembled. After some more prototyping/experimenting we settled with the current magnet configuration and strengths which hit the sweep spot of usability. In the discord there's also a short vid showcasing how the case opens.

As for durability, we've done some (tedious) testing with multiple different glues. Again, the first glues we used were OK, but not perfect as the magnets came loose after 100s of opening/closings which is something we wanted to avoid at all cost. Therefore, after reading more about the different types of glue we settled on using on a strong polymer glue with a high elasticity. We have yet to get this one loose.

Thanks! As for durability.. We've done some quite extensive testing and we've yet to get 1 magnet loose.
