Hello GH! Angel from Helheim Designs with an IC for our next case, only this time we are doing a full kit.
Freja65 [ fray-aa ] is our premium 65% case made out of five low-iron glass pieces that are melted together to make one solid piece of glass.
This board will be Gummy O-Ring mounted similar to the Bakeneko, but instead of just an O-Ring, we will also include rubber inserts that go into screw holes on the PCB to make the fit universal to most 65% PCB's.
This kit will include:
1x Freja65 Glass Case
2x Gummy O-Rings with different hardness (30A and 50A)
1x Soldered PCB
1x 65% Plate of your choice
5x Rubber inserts for screw holes to create space between PCB and the bottom of the case
1x Microfiber cloth
1x set of Cherry Clip-In Stabilizers (3x 2u, 1x 6.25u, 1x 7u)
Pricing is not yet confirmed, but we expect this kit to be less than $400.
This time around we will have both Frosted and Clear options

2x Gummy O-Rings with different hardness (30A and 50A)
You mean the little rubber standoff rings for tray mount or an actual O-ring?

We will provide two full size O-Rings to go around the whole PCB assembly for mounting (30A and 50A), this case will not be a tray mount

I dont know too much about the material
can you provide a video of a drop test from various heights and on different surfaces
cant speak too much about the price i have no idea about glass
but under 400 for this is pretty steep for me

Looks great guys! Awesome use of the material

Would it be possible to put the octopus design at the bottom of the PCB so we can see it through the glass case after the keyboard is built?
-
I’ve been dreaming of a glass keyboard for a long time. It’s almost an Insta buy … hotswap and maybe add in a wrist rest.

This is hot, if not impractical... but so pretty... IC filled out; looking forward to more updates!

The PCB is secks. The clear option is secks. I’m 60s gang though so I hope you bring back the Baldr in clear…

No ISO support?
-
No ISO and no exploded
or the very least an option for a blocker....grrrr.
