Great forum you have here. Lots of interesting information. Had I found this site earlier I might have bought something else than my Das Keyboard..
Anyway, I stumbled across this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180566704048&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1340wt_1137 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180566704048&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1340wt_1137)
I would make a bid myself, but I imagine it will get expensive. Plus, I have to pay 50$ to get it shipped to EU, plus tax :frown:
-
Yep. The Comptek2wk Minis are naturally recurring. Like Fruit Flies coming back every 2 weeks.
And they naturally go too expensive.
-
I am going to go after this one. Stay away, fellow geekhackers!

102$ with 5 days to go.
-
Good luck on that one man.
-
This thing was at $50 just a few hours ago! Five days away from ending.
This one looks promising... for the seller.
-
Gl & hf
-
I am thinking the price paid is driven by the desire to actually own one. Anything else is just wishful thinking.
-
Yeah, I'd like another, but I'm not paying that...
-
Auctions are the perfect economic market. Except when the seller claims it's a "Clicky" rubber dome keyboard.
In this case it's pretty much classical economics since there are no other NIB Minis appearing on a regular basis and the seller does a good job representing the product and delivers what he/she says she will.
I've seen more IBM Model M Space Savers lately than vintage clicky SIIG minitouches. The minitouches used to be infrequent but seem to be none for quite a while lately.
-
Over $100 prices tends to bring them out of the woodwork.
Economics.
True, wish I had one, or twenty,. If I had one I could use it, if I had twenty I could be cashing in and using one,. If I had just one I wonder if I'd want to use it or sell it at these prices, not sure. I sure don't want one bad enough to buy at these prices,.

I am sure this has been asked before, but I does Unicomp have the molds to make this board?
-
I think iMav got the last one.
-
However you CAN call and see how that Unicomp Mini is going.

I heard that Comptek2wk worked out a deal with them. They won't start making unicomp space savers until he sells out of BNI IBM ones...
-
Sheesh, Comptek2wk has been selling them for nearly two years now. Maybe he needs to list them more often than once a month.
-
I'm getting the feeling none of you guys ever took economics.
Recession... hellloooo.
-
I'm getting the feeling none of you guys ever took economics.
Let me clarify. He needs to list them more than once a month *FOR THE BENEFIT OF MISSILEMIKE*
I was hoping that was implied :)
-

Isn't that the class where girls learn to cook and sew while guys take wood shop?
-
In eighth grade we took home ec, shop, art, and typing. Each for one quarter.
The sewing machine was the best. Rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat and you've got a new pair of jeans.
Typing class sucked. Tandy 1000s running evil educational software off 5.25" floppies. My bad habits were ingrained long before 8th grade. Never could do home row.

I've got a couple of those NIB somewhere in storage. I keep meaning to pull one out and list it.

102$ with 5 days to go.
Currently $167.50+$22.65(to me)=$190.15 total with just shy of 21 hours to go. I wish I had some of these to sell!
-
Thread has given me a desire to switch to my mini today.
-
We're up to $167.50 now. I still plan to snipe tomorrow morning.

Did you get it? Ended at $212.50+$22.65=$235.15 total.
-
Omg I just got back from breakfast and forgot about it! @!$&?
-
Actually it ended at about the limit I wanted to pay... But who knows where it would have ended up if I bid.
-
Like clockwork, another one has been listed. I will try again but I am not getting my hopes up this time...
-
And then there's this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300479934682&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
A 1392980 with the RJ45 connector. Anyone know what's the typical going price for one of these? Imagine quite a bit less being it's not PS/2 compatible. Interesting the seller's rating is only 98.1%
-
I am guessing you can't simply take a cable from a 1391401 and plug it into that RJ45 mini. Am I guessing right?
-
Gotcha, thanks...
