Professor Anita Thapar said: "We found that, compared with the control group, the children with ADHD have a much higher rate of chunks of DNA that are either duplicated or missing."
Lies, Benchmarks, and Statistics, meh. What's with '15% of the ADHD people vs 7% of the control group'? While you can say twice as many in ADHD group compared to the control group, you can also say this "finding" correlates to fewer than 1 in 6 of the participants. There are obviously undiscovered factors in the other 5 out of 6 ADHD subjects.

maybe i'm old fashioned, but i continue to believe ADHD is caused by "wasnt beaten enough as a child".

Does Ritalin cause one to have a keyboard hobby?

Oh so ADHD is genetic, just like being "overweight"...
I think we're in an age where everything is just blamed on genetics.
Sodium Benzoate (used as a preservative, mostly liquids such as pop beverages) actually can provoke ADHD. I would say dietary habits would influence ADHD more than "genetics". I'm sorry but your genetics don't determine how much pop you drink, or decisions you make.

Once again, the forum's resident lunatic denies the existence of modern psychology. The irony is never lost on me...
