Last year I designed the first Project Affogato series wrist rest, which is a 65% one. You can view historical information through the following two links：

After that a lot of friends and supporters asked if a TKL (80%) version of Project Affogato will be available. So now here we are, introducing the Project Affogato 80% Wrist Rest!

Some major changes were made according to the feedback of the previous 65% version.

Main Changes:

·Wood panel replaced with forge carbon fiber panel. We developed molds for this forge carbon fiber panel, so the edges will be safer to use, and the surface will be more beautiful.
·Some geometrical changes were made to improve the user experience. As well as some changes to the base part to improve the stability.
·Cork pads were introduced to replace the silicone layers, add more aesthetic to it.

·8-degree angle
·Front height: 7.5mm (higher than previous 65% model)
·Rear height: 17.5mm
·Length: 360mm (matches 80% keyboards, and the most FRL TKL like Neson 700E)
·Width: 80mm
·Aluminum base with forged carbon fiber panel (optional smoked PC panel)
·Magnetic connection with cork cushioning layer
·Cork protection layer between wrist rest and keyboard

I really love the design of this one, would pick one up even though I don't use a wrist rest - just for the look. However my interest in the project dies with the replacement of the wood panel.
Loved the look of the 65% one with wood and would have picked on of those up if they would have ever been sold by the announced EU vendor (whatever went wrong back then, some clarity would have been appreciated).

Wood panels have some problem with the stability under different temperaturs and humidities. It's really a difficult decision to make, not to provide wood panels until we find a way to keep it stable.
Also sorry for not finally getting it run in EU. Now with help of Neson Design, we will keep on working on wood panels, and maybe one day bring 65% version back as second round with some upgrades made to 80% version.
