Can someone explain this,  why are goblins automatically slovenly and messy.  Could just be a stereotype.

John Goblin is a messy individual, so most would assume all Golbins would be so as well.

Think of it this way, the green goblin acts erratic, and goblins are often part of the lower class and are drawn to money and greed in fantasy games. Guess who owns the pot of greed? The goblin. It reflects his face.
