In his review of the HHKB Professional 2 Type-S, @chyros points out that they forgot to silence the space bar, which is "absolutely deafening" in comparison to the rest of the keys. As the owner of one myself, I can't agree more.
Did they fix this in the Hybrid Type-S, or does that flaw persist?
Thanks!

Yeah the pro hybrid type-s is mostly fixed. My type-s was manufactured on 2022-05-24 and its spacebar makes a deep, muted thock, though sometimes there's a bit of a squeak (which is why I say mostly, see reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/HHKB/comments/h8d2kj/slight_high_pitch_sound_in_hhkb_hybrid_type_s/)). It's quiet enough that I'm not bothered enough to mod it. The stock lubrication on the stabilizers has been plenty quiet too, for the record.

Thanks! I could definitely live with that squeak, as compared to the jarring thunk of a totally unsilenced spacebar.
