1.Introduction
Hello, everyone. We are Maniac Rabbit. Today, we bring AXIS here, a gasket keyboard case designed by JUJU.

As we know,AXIS is “A real or imaginary straight line going through the centre of an object that is spinning, or a line that divides a symmetrical shape into two equal halves”. Axis exists quite much in our life, since the most famous AXIS is that the earth rotates around, also which inspires our design.
[attachimg=2][attachimg=3]

Back to our keyboard case, the straight lines from the edges of front and back constitute the tilt axis. At the same time, the extending line of footpads cross over on the bottom. All the lines work in concert with the theme AXIS.
[attachimg=4]

On the other hand, that the AXIS theme contains the expression of rotation makes the logo resemble the symbol of infinity.
[attachimg=5][attachimg=6]

We prefer plain design, so the bottom case is dual-color anodized within the second-colored logo settling on the centre position.

3.Details

(1)General Information
Mounting: Gasket
Typing Angle: 7 degrees
Front Face Height: 18mm
Size: 354mm*122mm*33mm
Materials: Anodized Aluminum and PVD Stainless Steel
PCB: Wired/Bluetooth

(2)Mounting
AXIS utilizes a gasket mount system. Sandwiching the plate between 8 pieces of custom-cut Poron strips. 5.Status
We finished our final prototype and found a few defects, these will be rectified on the volume version.
(1)We found that the silicone footpads near the rearside couldn't stuck into the slots entirely, so the slots are redesigned as detachable ones for user-friendly installment.
[attachimg=18]
(2)The terminals for battery and switch PCB were found poking to the top of the bottom case, there will be more for them.

Volume productions are ready to be manufactured . So we are looking forward to getting in touch with reliable vendors.

My feedback:

Interesting and unique design.  I like the unique side details and color shown in the renders.  It's refreshing to see a 68 key layout.  :thumb:

I prefer top mounted boards but I'm okay with gasket mount.  However, the feet are really off-putting to me.  I don't like the look at all.  I suppose you are trying to have symmetry between the logo and the feet, but I don't think it's necessary.  I would like to see slightly smaller feet and keep them in a horizontal position to align with the case edges.  I do like the logo and think it looks classy.

The sides and back are gorgeous, love how this looks! The layout is refreshing and I appreciate stepped caps and split backspace.

Only minor gripe is no split right shift but I can live without it. Hope the pricing comes out to be reasonable.

THX for your sincerely suggestions, we will take your advise that putting top mount into the volume productions or next round. The feet are set to cover the screws on the surface of the bottom case. The designer take the feet as the significant feature of the case, but I'll report your idea to him.

Looks great! I do agree with the above comment that the feet look slightly off; maybe it would benefit from slightly smaller feet, or horizontally arranged.

If the designer is going to continue with the rotated feet, it needs to be aligned with the logo in the centre.

Quick Question: What is the expected GB timeline? I cannot wait for this one!

This is looking really nice so far! I'm definitely interested. I notice a black, green, silver, and white color render in the post - are there plans for more colors or are those the only ones? I'd like to see a navy or burgundy if that is possible. Any estimate on pricing?

Thanks for your advise, but sorry telling you that the designer is not going to change the feet. We are conmmunicating with vendors, so GB is coming soon.

THX, we are still discussing with the colors and it will be a reasonable price on GB.

Thanks for your advise, but sorry telling you that the designer is not going to change the feet. We are conmmunicating with vendors, so GB is coming soon.

For me, it's not only the fact that the feet are a bit larger than necessary, but also the fact that if you make a line to connect the feet at opposite corners, you will see that they don't line up with the lines on the logo.  Triple checked in photoshop.  The lines from corner to corner are about 15.5 degrees.  The logo lines sit at 19 degrees.  It kills my OCD.  If they won't change the size of the feet, I wondered if they could they consider making them symmetrical with the logo?  But I tried that and it's not possible.  You would have to move the feet inward.  They would need to redesign the logo to fix the issue.  It wouldn't be that noticable of a change to the logo, and would make the bottom look a lot better.

It may seem like a small detail, but I think we're at the point in this hobby where every single detail is significant.  There's a lot of competition, and this isn't a budget keyboard.

I truly would buy this keyboard if they could fix this design issue.  I really like the layout, and the sides are quite unique.

This case looks amazing, looking forward to it! Any news on the timeline for a GB? This has been silent for three months now!
