EVO70 R2 is a 70% (65% + XT) hotswap mechanical keyboard kit featuring a display screen (color or monochrome) and encoder & knob in either an aluminum or FR4 case. We have many options to choose from and many improvements building upon the success of the EVO70 R1:
- ANSI or ISO layout
- Monochrome OLED (0.91" 128x32) or color LCD display (0.96" 160x80)
- Low profile or high profile case
- Upgraded to a far more powerful microcontroller (STM32F411)
- Added real-time clock, ambient temperature sensor, memory (16MB on-board flash and memory card slot), and speaker (simple, without DAC)
- White, Black, Blue, and Lilac as default color options, with many other colors available (including custom Pantone-match)

The STM32F411 microcontroller in EVO70 R2 is far more powerful than your typical keyboard microcontroller (and thus far more powerful than EVO70 R1). With EVO70 R1, it was a challenge to get bongo cat displayed on a black and white OLED display, but EVO70 R2 easily handles color animations and images:

The group buy will run from January 10 through January 31, and the official delivery date is Q3 2023.
