Most vendors buy some number of extras, but given how weak recent GMK GBs have been, if you want the product to be made, buy it now.
Fundamentally if you 100% want the thing, all you're doing by waiting for extras is being okay paying a higher price + lowering the probability of you actually being able to buy the thing.

Not sure what kit you're talking about. CMYW has 4x Alts in Cyan (2 r4 and 2 r5). The extensions kit doesn't have 1u Alts because they are already in Drop's WoB kitting. The R5 kit has 2x Alts as well.

R5 was non-negotiable for this set, running this set only in R4 would be a half-measure that we were not willing to take.

Subsequently, if you don't feel like keeping the R5 keys I am sure there will be plenty people who would like to buy just the R5 keys so you can sell that part of the kit on if you'd like. I think it is better to have some extra keys which you may not use than to just ignore a portion of the community which actively enjoys it.

There’s no denying that these kits are on the pricier side and very large but we worked as hard as possible so that you can stretch the most value out of each accent kit.
- Each accent kit has enough support to be thrown onto 2 builds such as a 6.25u bottom row keyboard with full right shift and a 7u keyboard with split right shift or vise versa.
- By adding an icon mod kit you can also kit out two complete boards of the same layout. (ie: R4 with icon mods and R5 with text + icon mods or vice versa).
As mentioned earlier, R5 was a non-negotiable mainstay in this set for us. We designed this set primarily to serve a gap in the existing mod kits as well as to meet our needs; not copy previous kits with extremely limited kitting.

Why are people complaining about this set's kitting a week after GB has started? If you don't like the set pricing go for one of the alternatives; crying about it now is pointless. Not like the kitting will change mid-GB. Also, if a 25$ difference after so many years is honestly the biggest concern for you, your money can probably be used better off on something other than keycaps....
I complained long time ago, but it was brushed over and the price was not released. It is not the $ amount, I do not like paying stuff that I will never use. I have over 15 GMK sets and not a single R5 kit. Looks like CMYW is struggling to hit MCQ so clearly I am not the only one.

You weren’t brushed off on the IC, I responded to your concerns then. We are proud of this kitting and it was designed with our personal preferences in mind, if you have such a strong distaste for R5 you have other options already mentioned on this thread. :thumb:
The numbers for CMYW are looking quite healthy at this point in the GB with no vendor extras yet and a majority of the sales coming in during the last week. Dark RGB also has R5 and is the best performing set of the GB so far.

Nothing is stopping you from running another CMYW kit without R5. As stated by blunt, personal preference was taken into account for the same. You can try running a GB and stop complaining about your preferences in someone else's GB thread. There was a time and a place for you to voice your concern and we're past that.

Even if you REALLY want to buy something, you can avoid GMK and buy Keykobo. This is an extension on an already (relatively) expensive keyset. It is literally a luxury on top of a luxury, 25$ shouldn't be such a big point of discussion.

Extras for calculations, not for sale. That said, plenty of vendors sell extras before shipping and have done so for years.

Maybe DeskHero as for CAN? They've had great service and reasonable shipping to USA, in my experiences with them.
@ Anyone seeking a refund for the M&C-- the limit for "merchandise not received" chargeback is 540 days for Visa/MasterCard. 120 for Amex/Discover.
Edit: Realized it's ApexK for CAN- no experience w them but maybe great too.

This gb was always estimated to ship Q1 2024, not sure where you are getting Q4 2023 from.

The paid sets are the only sets that have that disclaimer, as those are being fulfilled with no costs. There are no disclaimers for any of the other sets.

I think you are misunderstanding what is happening here.
There are no refunds available for Mechs and Co orders, as both GMK and NK never recieved the money from any of those orders.

Huhh? So I'm confused then how the whole discounted sets are going to work if a refund isn't offered. I thought it they will refund a buyer their money and then the buyer sends proof they were on the gb and then Novelkeys lets them rebuy the product for a discounted price.

you are the only one complaining about the very generous resolution offered by NK for GB participants
I can confirm that NK is selling sets at cost from GMK, whether or not you chose to believe that is obviously up to you
your options at this point are:
1. not purchasing the set again (you will not receive it)
2. purchasing the set at the discounted price from NK
3. purchasing the set at full price
no other resolutions will be offered at this time
