bought n00 bats, tryn' something else.
tenergy premium pro, AAA, 1100 mah rated.
tested @ 500ma discharge, 1010 mah,
that's well within the right number since at 500, we typically gets ~90% of the peak power rating.
all 24 cells tested 1.265v out of the box. no manufacturing date anywhere though, can't tell self discharge performance. will have to charge and leave on shelf for a while.
m0ar tests incoming.

got a broken balance from leaked alkaline, took it apart today, it seems the leaked fluid actually wicked into the stranded wire itself, corroded the solder point and into the wire, didn't know that can happen. /gasp

the leaked fluid
I pretty much throw away any device once battery acid has leaked into it.
Usually it is a small and inaccessible space and I don't know how to successfully clean and neutralize it.

disassemble, q-tip + alcohol, + resolder joint

batch 2, 1101, 1101, 1113, 1112, pretty consistent. now one suspects if these chargers are really that accurate.
