They is say, this type of EF-5 (200mph+) events will become more prevalent and that the "tornado alley" will expand.

Well considering California had 2 tornados in one week (small but no alert system in place), I would say an expansion is already happening.
That's on top of all the rain and snow they've been getting (snow at the beach!).
