Yo — I don't want to mess with my formatting, so the updates are going here now.
KLC has been added as a vendor and they'll be selling this kit alongside their own custom EC parts. No need to harvest. More info down in the availability section.

This is a keyboard that's inspired by an artist that I listen to a lot. It's designed for Topre and MX. Originally I wanted to have something a bit nicer than the stock Pro Classic case with the intention of harvesting most of the parts from it, but as it ended up taking Deskeys housings and a custom PCB, it's probably better off as a kit. No horses were harmed in the making of this project, although a f—k ton of polycarbonate was.

I highly doubt I'm going to be changing how the weight screws in; internal screws would require a more 3D part compared to the current 2 mm sheet

It's going to be two-tone for sure, although I'm not sure about which colours. Probably pink.

The shape of the weight is an eye-catcher.

It is a shame that PC won't be offered. The two-tone multi-material look of the frosted and dyed PC top on the ano'd alu bottom looks absolutely stunning.

I don't know about you, but I'm over 40 and I have no idea what this is a reference to. I had never seen that image before, and did not think it was funny, nor think it was alluding to anything.

If I had - in my internet travels - seen that image in its (apparently cropped) posted state, I might have saved it and used it in the future where I imagined it was appropriate. Without knowing the context or reference. Without researching it. Believe it or not, people do that every day. Just yesterday I heard someone say "a valkyrie is a female viking berserker", for example. People are idiots.

That might be what happened here. I don't know you or the other posters, so it's tough for me to judge the motivation of others.

Frankly, that's tough even if you know someone well.

oh shoot oh man jeez oh dear i keep forgetting to update this thread

there is a second prototype (!!!) and it works with mx
there is also a second colourway (!!!!!) which the second proto is in

pc is a touch too light but the new samples i got are a lot darker and work better
there's still a touch of warp in some areas so i'll try to fix those by adding more material in the design
i still need to test fitment with klc parts but i think i will make ankit do it instead

sorry about neglecting the ic i had to move halfway across the country

anyways this is still happening it's just that progress is kinda slow
