Buy the name brand stuff,
Tp4 used to use the dollar store solder, and over time, the joints fail, oxidize, or splinter. it could be 10 year down the line, but the hassle and potential for the solder to crack / break off short the device, isn't worth the few $ difference in cost.

I couldn't think of the word 'solder' the other day and kept saying 'wire juice'

I got a big spool of lead solder (the real stuff) when it was being phased out, and I haven't even used a third of it yet.

When I was looking for solder I was recommended Kester several times and it's extremely reliable, it is great stuff.

When the heck did this stuff get to $45 a pound. Used to be $20. Even that's pricey
