having too much spare time + boredom and being in the mood for some random soldering action, i wanted to build an illuminated keyboard. since i didn't had enough LEDs and no resistors, i thought on illuminating only one little area of the keyboard, using the power from the roll-LED.
i used the Cherry G81 MY 3000 i got recently.
i soldered some wires on the LED contacts in the middle:

tested with one LED from a trashy rubberdome kb:

worked, soldered some more LEDs together, glued them on a piece of acrylic glas:

reassembled and here we go :D

yes, too bad i have no voltmeter here, atm.
there should be 5V max, you can a lot with that...
currently i'm also thinking about integrating a USB-hub and maybe a little cooliehat from a joystick.
speaking about joysticks, they are well worth watching for! you get some pretty interesting controllers like thrust levers etc.
