Why?
After growing up using keyboards that had the BAE key, it is sad that it became redundant. I've been in the hobby for years now and there have been countless GB's but only a few had BAE.
So I decided to do this

Which stablizers would they use?

BAE will work with ANSI stablizers due to a new mould developed for GMK Beige Addon Kits.

mcmcmc was gracious enough to make text+icon BAE ANSI compatible. I am not sure about Icon Mod BAE, will have to confirm with GMK.

Use ANSI pbc, put normal switch and stabilizers on Enter, take the spring out of the pipe key switch (and contact leaf if you cannot program to be nothing), and adorn both with BAE?  Is that how it works?

I need confirmation what mounting the Icon mod BAE uses but the text BAE will work with Ansi stabilizers and uses dummy switch in pipe key position so you won't have to remove the switch.

I've found that using a very light spring (like 10-20g) works better than no spring for dummy switches but no spring definitely works too.

Really cool project mate, probably down for wob, dolch and beige if there aren't many extras of the beige addon kit (not the biggest fan of bow, and the one set I have that looks like it isn't CR for the legends, it's more of a grey so it wouldn't match). GLWIC

I'm also very curious about this, since AFAIK GMK has a variety of moulds for BAE. Compatibility wise, an ANSI mount with a blank key in Pipe positition would be optimal since virtually all custom keyboards have ANSI support, while ISO support is (unfortunately) less common.

Yes its from the Cherry G80-2100HBU, afaik its the only board that had an Icon mod BAE...

Ah, gotcha. I couldn't tell from the post if that was the icon or the rest of them. If the rest are ANSI compatible, all should be good
