A couple of months ago I picked up a dirty, beat up model M (1992-05-04). There are three missing rivets, the case was warped as was the spacebar and there were four missing keycaps. Since I needed a new case and replacement keys I decided to go a step further and stuck it in an industrial M case!
I'll post pics as soon as I apply that LED label...
Cheers
EDIT: Couldn't wait so here it is!

Thanks! Judging by the lack of comments I'd say people are no longer interested in frankensteinian mods of the model M or where I got that case from :P

Where did you get the Industrial case?

I thought everyone knew since webwit revealed it months ago?
Unicomp has stock on industrial cases and even industrial mini top parts.
Edit: I think by that time webwit had already disappeared from here and had only revealed it to the Koreans. Oh well, now you know.

Are these with the same Model M black keycaps they were not able to find adequate lettering techiques for? The same blank keycaps you can buy a bag for $20 due to this unfortunate circumstance?

I thought everyone knew about industrial mini tops! I don't remember anyone mentioning full sized industrial cases. Anyway, I was able to get both, top and bottom halves from Unicomp.
You might be surprised that they still have industrial M13 cases as well! I know because I got two bottom halves by mistake :P They're "compatible" with regular tops provided you break/cut off a small piece of plastic. This would allow you to use the other port-hole for USB or whatever.
