According to the description, it was tested and working.  But that's a lot of money for an m2.

I've only ever heard horror stories  (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=IBM+Wiki#The+Model+M1+M2+IBM+Selectric+Touch+Keyboard)about them breaking.
