I just saw this earlier..and i talked to someone from Zowie ... they told me it features a "repeat rate" thing... that's supposed to make your "duck-jump" and "wasd" movement register even faster...
anyone know what "repeat rate" is ? lol [ u can see on the F keys]
overall, it looks like a really solid keyboard, can't wait !
also, in "gaming mode", the Window key becomes the "ctrl" key
-brown switch in this one

The led lighted keys sorta look like the Ducky 9008's.
I'm also curious what this repeat rate thing is :/

Repeat rate? Isn't it something controlled by OS usually?
You know, like how many FFFFFFFFFFFFFF that you can type in one second.

The RETURN OF TURBO MODE!
Yep, almost seems like it. '286s would be proud.
Repeat rate indeed is the rate at which characters will come out when you keep a key down. The specifics are somewhere in the IBM PS/2 keyboard docs, but I think the maximum normally is like 32 or 30 characters a second. However, there is no reason why a board shouldn't be able to do more if so desired - you merely have to implement a way to tell the board to use a non-standard repeat rate. Back in the day of the 286, this was a "Turbo" key.

Dang, sixty's pics of the KB-5170 are down, and I can't find any others :(
Only a permanent URL is a good URL.
EDIT: (http://clicks.t.oomuch.info/images/rabbit_286/3_1.jpg) Original board from "Rabbit 286" portable.

I remember reading about those, but what I don't remember is if the turbo button make the processor faster, or slower, when it was depressed? I found a Pentium I with one of those Turbo buttons, and I haven't noticed a difference in performance either way.
