This is a retro-inspired modern refresh of the classic dolch colorway, but not modern dolch.
I am hoping to make this with KKB, as I am a big fan of their keycaps, and imo they need a dolch set.

But a cool one, so this has R0 & R5 baked in, and the translucent keys as part of the "neo" line.

Kitting will be simple - base for everything 90% of the people will need, and an extension kit for the rest. Additional offerings include R0 kits for WOB and Beige(L9/U9), as well as UK and Norde kits.

Wow this great, dolch very nice choice, alongside those translucent accents, r0 is a great addition and love how extensive the kits/kitting is (even if 1.5u supers aren't in base kit but like I talk about that way too much lol)

Needs anime girl deskmat other wise it's not a truly based project though... GLWIC

Some suggestions I have, looking at the kitting:
- I would change Print to PrtSc and 1.50U <-Back to Backspace.
- Consider adding R5 1U Ctrl.
- Add two R5 1U Alt somewhere for true HHKB compatibility.
- Windowed keys and stepped 1.75U Control would be nice.
- I don't know how I feel about the forced translucent accents, but maybe it's the right move. I would add an accented R1 Esc as well.
- Numpad Enter is text only, maybe change it to Icon+Text.

It's cool that now KKB is doing R0 molds. GLWIC

Looks great, good work. One suggestion, 3/4 key 40s is great when it's included in base but when it's a separate kit it would be nice to get a little more 40s support. 1.75u R3 Enter for any 11/12/13u boards would be amazing.

Since I only joined the hobby in 2021 and had no idea what "GMK" even meant, I've missed out on previous runs of Dolch in any variant. I know Drop has a DCX Dolch keycap set, and I know the aftermarket is always a thing, but I've been waiting until the perfect moment to finally get a Dolch set.

GLWIC, and I'm for sure going to join the GB when/if it happens!

edit: Just realized there are 10u and BAE kits. Holy cow!!! Getting in on those for sure

as a numpad enjoyer I just want to point out text only numpad enters on text+icon sets has always been the standard.
Obviously a matter of preference but I personally prefer text only and it matches the Dolch PAC.

Looks nice - I enjoy Dolch.

Agreed on the suggestions prior by Gtour, and some other items below:

- all Print legends --> Prt Sc (including in the R0 kits)
- I think the positioning for the legend on the BAE looks awkward. I think it will look better if it can be like an ANSI Enter (but with the 1.5u sized forehead), like it was done in GMK Beige Addon & Extension's BAE kit.
- The R0 kits are missing keys to make it compatible with 1800-layout (and similar) boards. So that'd necessitate R0 Del, End, Pg Dn in the base kit, and all R0 child kits.

based child kits. I just wish skidata neo had R5 in base just like this set.

translucent accents are the way to go, nice way to differentiate it from previous dolch iterations.
and pls keep the numpad enter legend as text only.
+1 for "Prt Sc" for all Printscreen legends

Keykobo has the molds and they're pretty cheap ($20-$30) to add onto. Many people would want them for this kit, along with their old GMK Dolch sets (myself included).

No question that minimizing waste plastic is good for the environment. I'm a numpad user, and I'm all for TKL+Numpad with your target prices ($80 TKL, $10 Numpad).

I recently looked at 17 previous KKB GBs (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=122192.msg3187983#msg3187983) and Numpad users did not fare as well. Average prices were Numpad $20, TKL $92, Full $96. So with split kits, Numpad users paid about 4 times what TKL users saved.
