Title: Filco keycaps
Post by: Tom on Tue, 26 October 2010, 00:19:16
Quick question, I'm looking at buying a filco keyboard with cherry blue switches but I was wondering if there are keycaps available with Mac specific keys.  If not, is it worth looking at the das keyboard?

Tom, I use a Filco tenkeyless w/blues on my iMac and can report an excellent match.

I bought a blank key set and replaced the Windomes with blank ones, and the Menu key with a plain blank.  Don't forget to swap over the Alt and dome keys - and remap their functions in System Prefs > Keyboard > Modifier Keys.

I also used Spark (http://www.shadowlab.org/Software/spark.php) to map the Volume controls to Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Pause, though left the original caps in place.
