Hello keyboard people, Ra66it here, bringing you my third IC on Geekhack, I hope you enjoy it.
Introducing the third chapter in the Machina design series: "Tiga"
Named after the Malay word for "three" and inspired by the iconic HHKB HG.
Tiga features a three-piece design, combining three unique materials, and marks the debut of Tri-mode connectivity in the Machina lineup.
Ideas about the design
Lately, I’ve been really into CMF (Color, Material, Finish), and there’s something incredibly captivating about the art of combining different materials. The way textures, colours, and finishes interact can transform a design, bringing out unique qualities in each component. This fascination has deepened my appreciation for the nuances of material selection and how they contribute to a product's overall aesthetic and feel. Tiga is my modern take on the HG variant board.
The project began in July 2023 and has gone through three iterations, and V4 is underway.
The look of this keyboard is influenced by the HHKB series (HG).[/size]
About the name
Named after the Malay word for "three," the number three is the core theme of this design.
Tiga marks the third Machina keyboard, and I've always wanted to incorporate Tri-mode support while maintaining the option for a no-foam build. The design features a three-piece design, blending three distinct materials to create something truly unique.

I've been on the lookout for updates on this for a long time and I'm really liking how this is taking shape. Looking forward to the GB!
-
Finally the IC for this is posted.
Really good job as always Ra66it! I like the backpiece design and that it is interchangeable. Please consider to open source it (backpiece) so we can also custom print our own designs :D
-
Beautiful. Love the use of different materials.
-
What a stunning board, Filled in the IC! Hope a European vendor jumps on it!
-
This board is truly gorgeous! I am not familiar with the inspo for this one but it reminds me personally of an Amp for an instrument! Which I absolutely love. Def be keeping an eye on this one. Filling out the IC as well! Good luck!
-
Love the design! GLWIC
-
Super intriguing project!
-
The texture on the nylon and alu machine mark bottom is very appealing. Also the alu machine marked top case looks nice, really stands out from other boards.
-
Very cool mix of materials & finishes, definitely have my attention! Also if you can keep that price at or under $299 I think this will sell very well!
-
This looks incredible. Love the black and copper but am very curious how/if the other case materials will impact sound.
-
Wow neato
-
Photo Section 5.2 sold me on the board the most. It's a 65% like the Orbit but the Top view/profile adds extra character compared to the Orbit's Side view/profile

I love this concept, something new and refreshing. Can't wait for this to hit GB!
-
Thanks everyone!
-
really unique board, hope this makes it through GB!
-
Such a pretty board, wood and fabric in a keyboard? what a combo!
-
The fabric back looks really pretty, GLWIC!
-
This board looks awesome with that fabric/wood finish that gives it a high-end, natural vibe that reminds me of the Bang & Olufsen (which is great, of course).
Definitely a BUY from me! GLWIC
-
I am really liking this. How durable is the fabric bottom? I concern of fraying.
-
Durability and sustainability are always top priorities. It’s built to last, interchangeable, and has backup pieces available for purchase.
-
Such an awesome spin on a familiar design. GLWIC, very interested to pick one up.
-
The blend of materials on this board is absolute perfection. Can't wait to see more of it!
-
Will there be EC PCB option considered for this board ?
-
sheesh, gotta say it is very classy. GLWIC
-
bump!

Still really loving this board! It is so beautiful. I cannot wait to see more of it in the future ;D
-
Did I see that it is after Orbit r2??
When are you running Orbit again?
-
Next month!
-
Great looking board and love the fabric bottom and wood options. Definitely something you rarely see, and love the creativity in design.
-
Superb but would love to see this as a 60
