Hi everyone .Today, I'm excited to introduce the newest member of the Chonker family—the Hippo TKL Keyboard.

This keyboard is our latest innovation in both size and craftsmanship.

Design language

Elegance, simplicity and personality

Our design concept is to pursue a simple and uncluttered visual effect. We adopted a rectangular and straight line layout, smooth lines, pursued symmetry and balance.

The "Hippo" logo can be seen in the center area, which incorporate relaxed and interesting elements into the design language, giving people a sense of affinity and uniqueness.The combination of hippopotamus and birds brings a natural and harmonious feeling

Silicone gasket: a balance between comfort and precision
We designed and reconstructed the silicone particles to have the dual functions of cushioning and limiting. After testing a variety of samples with different hardness, we finally selected a silicone material with excellent performance.
This design achieves a perfect balance between hardness and the clearest typing feedback, ensuring that users will not feel fatigued when typing for a long time, bringing a more comfortable typing experience.

please consider adding 7u bottom to the hotswap pcb, no reason not to add support for this layout in these times

I have the Piggy60 and given how hefty and chonky that already is I can’t imagine how much more this hippo would be! Don’t know that I can participate here but for everyone else Jacky Studios boards are top notch and will not disappoint!

The missing ISO enter on the KLE renders is a mistake ? I'm do not plan to build it with this type of layout, but I like to know that this layout is still available on the boards ! (Except 40s.. iso on this thing is weird.) :thumb:

Second, please think about offering a carrying/storage case. It's a chonker and there's no way I'm going to find a case for it :(

100%. The front to back of the board on the desk is big enough all my pelicans won’t fit it. Would need one where it sat at a right angle

I have registered on the site because of the board and to tell you pls pls support 1.6 mm PCB to give it a better sound.
And i Hope i can order from germany. Ill buy one 100 % if beige or green is available :)

Would be great to get some prototype images, makerchun is usually the goat for those if they can get hold of early protos from Jacky.

The render of the red Hippo looks as vivid and bright as my IRL red Piggy, so would be keen for more images of the new colours like silver, blue and red to see how they look.

Thank you all for your attention and love for the Hippo. After gathering feedback from the IC stage, we have learned about many needs, and some updates are as follows:

PCB Change: The thickness has been adjusted to 1.6mm, and only a hotswap version will be available. The supported layouts will be 6.25U + 7U / ISO / Split Shift.

Case: WKL will be supported. However, since the samples are already in production, the WKL version will not be showcased in the samples, but it will be available in the group buy.(We will soon be testing the PCB, and the samples are currently in production.)

Colors: The available colors will be E beige/ anodized blue/ anodized silver /anodized olive.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's support. We will do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible, but not all can be fulfilled.

Additionally, we might offer a few full brass versions, but the price will be quite high. If you are interested, please DM on disocrd

Updates are on the discord. On the 17th, 120 boards, FCFS, 450$ plus ship gets you a board w nice looking case (notable as most cases won’t fit this board) w plate and pcb
