The Game 1989 65% keyboard is 80 Retros' second keyboard project. Like Game 1989 TKL, its design was inspired by the classic Game Boy console, which was released in 1989. This design language reflects on details such as the shape of the keyboard case, the red light on the front, the rounded red keyboard feet, etc.

Some fun gimmicks

To give the 65% a better visual representation of the Game Boy console, a few designs were added to the case compared to the TKL. The first is the "Selection" and "Start" buttons are added to the top of the case. Secondly, a rounded magnetic piece was added right next to the "Selection" and "Start" buttons to represent the "A" and "B" buttons. What's more, you could choose to put either the Joystick or the Coinslot decoration piece here.
