Well, the title says it all. See if you can find your first post here!

I found mine:

Nope. But one of the RTYO's sent me a nasty letter bashing Geekhack.org because it isn't an over-moderated piece of crap like OCN.

Mine is here (http://geekhack.org/showpost.php?p=159857&postcount=1).

Actually, I remember I was very impressed with ripster's review of keycaps and that's what made me want to join.

Mine's here (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=4116&highlight=facit), I'm glad that I didn't followed iMas advice and waited for the Mighty Mouse replacement. That thread really helped me anyways.

Heh heh, I didn't remember why or what specific thing my first was about until just now when I located it.  I knew that I had joined soon after acquiring my (first)  model M, but I didn't realize it was THAT soon, only days really.

It was April 1st and my first inquiry (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=9365) on this forum was due to my cat having had some April Fools fun with me.  From what I'd already become familiar with about the sense of humor here,  I wasn't entirely sure the first reply wasn't a joke either.  Come to think of it, I still need to look into that because that software really would be useful...

Edit/Addendum>> Nice ending to that story, btw -  and it just goes to show how sometimes the smallest consideration of someone else can be catalyst to a larger joy.  Turns out I ended getting two more cheapie things from that seller (as well as the keyboard which I ended up just paying for and used the cord for something else) one of which was the suggested WWJD pens that were pointed to from that  thread along with a cheesy "love pearl" oyster which I got for my Mom (who was a biology teacher - she likes stuff like that).  And it really WAS Providence after all as both gifts were a truly smashing success, far greater than I would have anticipated for sure.  Since they were (both notably and obviously)  inexpensive, they were more intended as a token amusement than anything else but they were received as quite touching and meaningful gifts:

I had expected my mom to admonish me for wasting money on such a dumb thing, but turns out she'd seen one somewhere else before and almost bought it for herself but didn't .  I then thought she would at least be curious about the oyster and open that right away, but I think the sappy sentiment of the box gets her a bit cause she hasn't even opened the box.. just sets it on the shelf where she can look at it.  I gave the pens to a guy who has been struggling with trying to care for his mother who has Alzheimer's and having some frustrations with his siblings; He actually got a little misty over a $2 pen.  I think the most important thing about both gifts was that they were each a way to just acknowledge that someone noticed and was thinking about them when it maybe seemed like no one did.  I had no idea they would have that effect, but I am very glad I did buy them now and all thanks to the cat buying something on ebay.    =D

Come to think of it, that cat has always been a bit odd... I named him Phantom because of his Halloween adoption date and his eerie ghostly coloring but he has a spiritual presence about him that seems to draw unusual attention.  Each time we have moved he has become a topic of conversation in the neighborhood as he seems to have met all the neighbors before us people have.  And he has a habit of making a beeline for folks who need comforting.  Once he left my lap with seemingly great urgency to go outside and I discovered later through my Mom that he'd come out to the walk to meet her friend (who he hadn't met previously and who had just lost her daughter to a car accident.)   Her friend called later to tell her how much her spirits had been lifted tremendously by his presence that day.

"Accidental" snipe?  Hmmm.  I wonder...

I can't even find mine.  I should have been easy; there were only, like, 12 members back then.

Ha.  I forgot I was looking at the Freestyle at the time.  It's a shame.  It would have been a kick-ass keyboard if it had brown Cherrys.

Mine was two months ago and there have been little changes still:
http://geekhack.org/showpost.php?p=221581&postcount=24 (http://geekhack.org/showpost.php?p=221581&postcount=24)

I still post ass long responses that few people read till the end. I still am unhappy that I can't get a Deck with rollover and German layout (well at least now I know there are German layout Decks but they have no rollover). I am still wondering about the x-armor u9BL. I still hate the razer.

I do own a Das by now though :)
