Episode 1, already compelling.
-
Have you read the books? My wife did and explained the expanded story (not gonna spoil anything). Curious how close they will stick with the source material. Excited either way.

Episode 2,
Spoilers::
Mm. OK, it's entertaining enough, but people have to be pretty stupid to believe such a flimsy story of "new tape." Tp4 finds it implausible that a mob like that could be dispersed with that much.
But maybe education just got super bad, and as peasants, but hrrm.. even then.
Overall, not a great direction. We'll see how they make this fit, but whichever way it goes, this segment is horrible writing.
I don't like their machine shop scene, it's way too primitive to maintain the rigs they got. To build+replace large ball bearings alone for example, there's no way a dingy machine shop can do that. They need quite alot of tech infrastructure.

Episode 3:
It's moving in a direction that's interesting at least, despite the weak plot in the 2nd episode.
Spoilers,
Solo, hahaha, he's basically Tp4, personality wise. 100% identify.
What is difficult for the writers is, the mob/peasants have to be both dumber and smarter depending on the situation. This aspect of the plot is not well implemented. If they just worked on legitimate bottlenecks to the economy, they could solve this without having to suddenly turn the peasant's intelligence up and down to shoehorn improbable behaviors.

In S2E4, I think that the judge could have been played a completely different way, and got a different meaning.
Instead of sounding sympathetic, be a person who gloats about her knowledge and her superiority.
I wonder if that had been the original purpose in the books.
-
E4:
The progress is in the right direction, but they've made the Mob-Crowd behave conveniently Too Smart or Too Dumb haphazardly AT WILL, whatever the situation requires. That is hard to get with.
-
Rebecca Ferguson plays the Rabbit in FIST.
Haha, no she doesn't but this scene is like 1:1.

Just renewed for 2 more seasons.

Just renewed for 2 more seasons.
Tp4 keeping expectations realistic this time. S2 wasn't as good-stuffs as S1.
-
Not feeling it, the plot is drifting further and further on plausibility.
-
I wouldn't say that the plot is drifting away from plausibility. But it is getting a little tedious. I yearn for some kind of change.

This show now is total crap.. they doing it again! Keep draaaaaaging story like its dying horse...
Last few episodes were could be done in one.
I just rewatched Severance, waiting for 17th for 2nd season.

It's 40(?) hours worth of 2 (?) books...
Not even Lord of The Rings dragged it out that much and those were mostly just people walking.
That said I like the show, just wish they'd hurry along a bit.

Yes, show idea, story is fantastic, I like it too, but its beeing dragged too much, same as Walking Dead, or older ones, like Lost.
I hope they wont mess up Severance.
