Title: New GMK Webstore
Post by: GMK_Andy on Fri, 29 November 2024, 08:04:07
We are very pleased to announce that we will be finally launching a GMK online webstore with worldwide shipping!

We will initially be offering traditional classic sets like CYL WoB, CYL BoW, and CYL Classic Beige. We will be offering different base kits for different sized keyboards so you can get the caps you need without needing to buy a huge kit. Furthermore, we will also be offering individual international kits for our EU customers, e.g. specific German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, UK, Norwegian/Danish, Finnish/Swedish versions. We wanted to address a few of the issues we see in the market with our webstore, and providing more affordable international kits was definitely a place where we could step in and help out.

Beyond keycap sets, we will also be offering a variety of merch and additional accessories such as our custom screw in stabs and QMX Clips.

We will also be providing more information about currently running sets and group buys as well as linking to the stores running them. We will also be running our own specials and sales directly a few times a year, so we will be sure to post updates here when those are happening!

The new webstore can be reached at www.gmk.net/shop. To celebrate the opening of the new shop, for the moment GMK offers free shipping on orders over 100 EUR.

Make sure to stop in the new webstore and do not miss out on any new product or group buy!

Note: The older Uniqey Webshop will go offline at the same time. If you bought any products via www.uniqey.net in the past, feel free to contact the GMK webstore team for any questions or service requirements.

Really glad to see basic sets kept in-stock at very reasonable prices. Hoping we see Dolch added to that list someday!

I second this, awesome to have an option to buy direct from GMK! I actually had to keep myself from ordering some stuff today as I've spent way too much on keebs recently. Although definitely expect to see some orders from me in the future!

I'm really glad to see GMK now has classic CYL sets in stock, and that so many configuration options are available. Please consider adding Dvorak and Colemak+ addon kits. Based on order numbers from 21 KAT sets, demand for alternative layout support is similar to demand for international support.

For anyone interested, same KAT data grouped by set rather than by kit.

Any chance GMK will offer Colevrak+ kits for standard MTNU sets?

Any chance GMK will offer Colevrak+ kits for standard MTNU sets?

I don't think there are any plans of that at this time - I can't see them selling enough to hit even the lowest MOQ. Perhaps we could do a run for a single set and see how it does to gauge interest.

Oh, I didn't mean group buys. I was thinking perpetual in-stock MTNU kits like BoW, WoB, and Beige. Because previous sales show Colevrak+ demand is similar to other child kits that GMK does currently offer for in-stock CYL sets.

Edit: added current GMK CYL BoW in-stock kits for comparison
For example, the current CYL BoW set offers a French child kit. Looking at 21 previous KAT group buys, 20 offered French kits. On average their orders were 2.2% of Base kit orders. All 21 group buys offered Colevrak kits, and on average their orders were 3.7% of Base kit orders.

Thank you for MTNU. It is the godsend keycap that is replacing all my other caps.

I wanted to ask which MTNU sets you intend to keep as always-in-stock items and, if any, when we can expect them?

My humble suggestion would be

* WoB
* BoW
* Beige
* MoDo light and dark
and
* various accent kits

as constant drivers and as a stable baseline to encourage GBs of more exotic colourways.

Thanks for the feedback! These would pretty much be the sets we would stock all the time - I'll check and let you know what the plan for MTNU is for the store

We will be adding MTNU as stock sets to the webstore starting soon, ~1month or so.  :thumb:

Thank you! That is wonderful news! I'm looking forward to it! I hope you go to town on the separate accents kits, I really think they could be an amazing sales driver for MTNU!

On a semi-related topic, I can't wait for the MTNU Foundations. I feel that will be a magic set that will make almost any keyboard look amazing!

Cheers!

If you think of any suggestions for kits or accents, etc just reach out and let me know. I can't promise we will make it all, but if we can drum up interest (even if I do an IC here) for kits I'm happy to give them some attention.

In that topic, do you have a list of the Pantome or HSV (or similar) codes for the PBT colours you support?

I have found these from your MTNU sample set that seems to correspond to PBT colours:
XR03, XP3, XR01 (Various Reds/Pinks)
X3C, XMG1 (Accents/Grays)
XV2, XOR1, XN6 (Violets/Oranges/Grays)
XCV (Cyan)
XGE1, XDY (Greens/Yellows)
XTU2, XV4 (Teal/Violets)
X3A, XAE, XN7, XU9, XL9 (Various Beiges/Grays)
XCP, XW1, XS1 (Cool Gray/White/Gray)
XN9, XCC, X2B (Blacks/Grays)
But I think you support more than these colours? Also, it would be extremely helpful to have colour codes in f.i. HSV or Pantome to test them in renders.

Thanks again, Andy!

Yeah we support a ton of colors - most sets we make use fully custom colors that we match to RAL or PANTONE. If there's ever specific colors you are looking at just reach out and ill see what I can get. I'll also look into providing the codes for the stock colors.
