No one should be drinking raw milk anyway, it is not good for you, the entire reason pasteurization exists in the first place is because raw milk makes humans sick. People are so ****ing stupid.
Like drinking paint then complaining about lead poisoning.

I got a flu shot a couple of months ago, H1N1, and supposedly the "N1" part will give me some moderate protection. Let's hope so.

Honestly those parents should have charges brought against them for giving raw milk to a child. Even before pasteurization was invented, people knew raw milk was only good for maybe a day or two and would always boil it before consuming. Outside of farming communities, milk was almost not even on most people's radar. They did not carry it in stores, it was not used in cooking, and you had to go to a farm to get some. Besides all that, I am almost certain raw milk is illegal in most countries, it certinally is in the US because it is dangerous and not for human consumption.
It really saddens me seeing stupid parents force their lifestyles on children and causing them direct harm.

The problem with contamination is that it spreads in so many ways, if they're all running through the same equipment, in the same plant, who's to say, it doesn't infect a worker, then the infected worker is touching the bottles and the end consumer gets infected through fomites.
There is this misconception, that we have this magical scientific device that kills all the germs at the end of the line, THIS IS NOT the case. If you guys ever been to any industrial food production facility, they're typically extremely dirty by "your house" standards.
Your average restaurant is cleaner than most of these places. And we've all been to some wack restaurants.

It is inevitible that children learn from their parents, implicitly and explicitly.
You do the best you can, and hope that they can improve upon your work in their own lives - like you did when you built on your own parents' knowledge.
But how can people who never learned "how to think" pass that along? - unless there is an educational system in place to pick up the slack.
And simple, basic health science - that is the regulatory role of governmental agencies, from the Constitution: "Promote the General Welfare".

Apparently there are two strains of bird flu in the US. The one that has infected farm workers is a relatively benign one. There is a more severe strain among wild birds, found in Louisiana and now a confirmed case of a human in Washington state.
(Influenza has a tendency to spread around the world, so that's a reason for me monitoring it over here)

All major pandemic disease throughout history, came as the result of animal domestication -> animal agriculture -> zoonotic transmission.
Cows-> Rinderpest -> Measles
Camel -> Camel pox -> Smallpox
Pigs -> Whooping cough
Chicken-> Typhoid
Ducks -> Influenza (Flu)
Water Buffalo -> Leprosy
Horses -> Common cold
Our choice is to roll the dice, crank out vaccines with AI, get injections every couple months, OR, you know, Broccoli.

There is some evidence to suggest sheep scrapie (endemic to sheep), is linked to Mad Cow, BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy).
Undergoing investigation, The industry largely wants this to stay buried because Livestock is massively subsidized industry turning over crap profits.
There is even some talk that the California herds are in serious financial jeopardy because there's no recovery money, SOUNDS to Tp4 like another bail out ask, but hey, isn't that SOCIALISM? What happened to GLORIOUS CAPITALISM.
It would also explain why so many people would vote for Trump. It's all these prion diseases drilling all these holes in people's brains.
Even when the Mad Cow broke out in England, THEY did the right thing and culled the herds, while the Americans went, Hell no, we can't afford it.
So as it stands 90-95% of American beef Cattle is NOT TESTED for Mad Cow. They NEVER were. /Holes in brains.
