Title: What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Post by: ArchDill on Wed, 18 December 2024, 20:20:26
Watching Red One and realized this may be one of the most exciting, recent, Christmas movies.

What are your all-time favorites?

(Mine is Christmas Vacation)

Jingle All the Way (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116705/), it's the only one I'll make sure to watch every year.

Nightmare Before Christmas, easily by a country mile. I watch it nearly every year sometime between Halloween and Christmas.

I would say Kristen Stewart has more range than The Rock. He very may well be the worst A list actor alive today. Completely incapable of playing anyone but himself, his range is nonexistent. Even Vin Diesel can act circles around Dwayne.

Definitely Die Hard, although I haven't watched that for years.

You just described the current batch of A listers. The Rock, Jack Black, Chris Pratt, etc. They are not character actors, they are marketing ploys. You aren't going to the movie to see Jack Back act, you are going to see the movie because the character "Jack Black". The reason studios are picking these "mega celebs" is simply to cut marketing costs. You pay The Rock $20m for the movie, but in reality a good chunk of that is paying for The Rock and his team to promote the movie directly to those who follow him on social media. Direct to consumer/fan marketing is the gold standard in marketing. Look at social media.

Tp4 would be dead.  There are several videos on YouTube of doctors commenting on how dangerous the traps really are.

According to Salma Hayek's muse character in the movie Dogma, the Home Alone movies had been inspired by the devil.
