Looks great! But can we get at least 4 key 40s support, pretty please?
Would like to see the color codes for the color used on alphas in the ashes base, since that color looks both grey and a little pinkish-toned, and having a color code would definitely help with making decisions.Hey! As soon as we recive the samples from GMK we will post the color codes with photos too. We are going to ask GMK if it's possible to mix 2 different effects to make marble + metallic legends too and check how it actually looks. Our objective is to make the legends to look as close as possible to lava flowing into the keycap.
Also, it would be good to have pictures of the actual samples before the GB, as it seems no one has tried metallic as a legend color yet

I second this.
gl on hitting moq with two base kits
gl on hitting moq with two base kitswe will consider to remake the ashes base kitting and do just alt alphas with it
for once I have no complaints with the kitting
go ahead sell me both bases

wait no, the ashes base is missing the alpha colored R1 tilde
The Mac style R3 control is pretty cursed tbh

So “Core” Alt alphas if I understand correctly? If so bummer bc core is my fav haha.
ISO Accent? Or is this another "We give you one key, you don't deserve another." like a lot of keysets these days, considering there has been a reply on 40s kitting but not the ISO Accent.
The Theme
Why Pompeii and lava? It's pretty much known that lava didn't reach Pompeii, right? The eruption wasn't an effusive type which produces lava flows to a great extent, it was explosive (Plinian/Vesuvian eruption (wonder where they got that name from)), so instead of flowing lava it was mainly an eruption based on ash, pumice and ending with pyroclastic flows which is superheated gas and other volcanic materials (ash, pumice, rock fragments, etc). If it was just volcano themed? Sure, makes sense. But for Pompeii? I'm not seeing the connection other than volcano go boom. Not even Herculaneum which was much closer got hit by lava.
Also, The Novelties
Some of these I think are fantastic, the Temple of Jupiter (https://i.imgur.com/8EZZ9Z7.jpeg) 'skyline'? The volcano eruption for the most part? The broken pillars of the past? Great, looks good, I dig these.
Where I think it falls apart is on a lot of the others.
R1.1 - Isn't this the bust of the Statue of David used in a lot of Vaporwave styling (https://i.imgur.com/GsvwJAB.png)? Which was made 1400+ years after the destruction of Pompeii?
R1.2 - I feel like a skull, whilst sure, death and destruction and volcano. Sticks out and doesn't fit the vibe of the set other than it being about as said, Death and Destruction
R1.3 - Struggling to even make out what this one is, is it a pot? A ruined bust?
R1.4 - Is this meant to be a hand melting because of the heat? (See comments below)
R1.5 - I take it this is a Stone Pine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_pine) which is common around the Pompeii area, and often in ancient records it was stated that the eruption from Vesuvius looked like one of these. Even was written down by Pliny the Younger (same Pliny as to why it's called a Plinian style eruption). The theme fits, but I feel most people won't understand the reference for it. (I asked some people what they thought and answers I've got are burning pizza and lava through a valley as two examples.)
R3.Both - I like these.
R4.1-4 - Whilst I can't speak for the dead, putting inaccurate deaths of people where it looks like they're getting consumed by lava? Just doesn't fit the vibe. You've got some cracking ones with ruins, let the dead rest and do more ruins of their legacy which still stands. (Would you do drowning people for an ancient flood themed set? People buried by rocks for an ancient earthquake?) There is so much history in this time period, in this area, which you could call from here.
R4.5+6 - These I also really like.
I personally prefer the icon R3 control, it looks more cohesive/consistent from my perspective. The only issue with how it currently appears is that it is centre aligned, whereas it would look better with top left alignment to match the neighboring modifier icon legends. The Mac style R3 control is pretty cursed tbh
Noted, will use text control

We will add accented ISO to the base kit

Sorry if I explained myself wrong, Alt alphas will be ashes in case we can't merge MoQs, the main base kit is Core
Does it burns your fingertips?
jokes aside, damn i'm in

Yeah, I'm looking for a trap to eliminate you
