It’s been a while since Alhambra happened, very excited to bring everyone R2!


Specifications

Profile: Cherry
Material: PBT doubleshot + dyesub (sublegends and RGB component of novelties)
Manufacturer: Milkyway Keys
ETA: in-stock drop, March 2025


Why not KKB?

In short, parties completely lost trust in each other. A lot of **** happened during the GB and production stages of Outer Bounds, among others:
All in all I do not feel safe re-running the set with KKB. So here we are.

On the other hand, Milkyway’s new doubleshot offering is pretty solid - good colour matching and good legends. Employing PBT doubleshot + dyesub tech also means subs and novelties now won’t fall off - although R1’s UV print quality was good, we still heard cases of UV print chipping off or fading after extended use.

To demonstrate its goodwill, Milkyways agreed to produce new text + icon mod moulds for Alhambra (there was previously only icon mods), which will no doubt benefit future designers who wish to work with Milkyways.

Was hoping that this was going to be a KKB rerun or even better, a gmk run, but I will not be uying a pbt dyesub run unfortunately. Thankfully I see a lot of people happy about a pbt run so I do hope that you sell a lot still!.

Wonderful design regardless of manufacturing method.

Wait, why? You're not really suggesting me to use a "Back" instead, not even a "Backspace".
Can we have 2x R2 1.5u novelties? One for backspace and one for tab. Would allow to go full novelty from R1 to R4 on both sides on 60s, TKLs, 100s.

I’m going with beige. It’s not quite right but I wanted to keep the Moor aesthetic and match the old architecture of Granada. The set would probably look nice on a pine green board too.

Also I spoke with Maxgaming support (because they tend to get MW sets in stock) and here's what they said:
