In my experience, this is due to a faulty PCB. I own a RK61 by the company Royal Kludge, and have the same issue (they are known for these types of issues and more, WOULD NOT recommend.)
To my knowledge, since the whole column is not working, I don't believe there is anything you can do to get around it. If you can claim warranty on it, or get a refund, I would do so ASAP and invest in a nicer, higher quality keyboard. My recommendation would be buying something used on something like MechMarket. You can get really good deals for solid keyboards, and you're buying used which is  for the planet.
Sorry that happened to your keyboard, but its a learning experience. Hopefully you can get your money back :)

follow the trace to the mcu pin. check the connection between the column in question and the pin. if the trace looks fine, a bad solder joint on the mcu is most likely. in that case you can try to resolder that one pin.
