Title: Trying to find a 65% universal keyboard kit with a 2 unit right shift key
Post by: Backing2370 on Sat, 17 May 2025, 16:50:08
Hi!
I have searched for hours to find a keyboard kit which matches these three requirements but was so far unable to come up with any results:
Of course, features like hotswap and RGB lighting would be nice-to-have as well, but are not mandatory for me.

Since the 2 unit right shift key is non-standard, it would probably need to be a complete kit. The closest thing I was able to find was the "Createkeebs High65" (V1) which is a universal kit with a non-standard right shift key - except it's 2.25 units instead of 2 (and unavailable for purchase).

Surely there has to be at least one keyboard kit somewhere which supports these requirements? If there isn't I'll probably settle with the Ducky One 3 SF ISO and attempt to bind "<" to shift but still, I would prefer having a large, singular left shift.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've never seen this layout in the wild, only in photos.  May I ask where you reside?  That bigass enter key would really throw me off, but I guess you would just get use to it.

When I learned to type, I only used the left SHIFT key.  I wonder if I'm the only weirdo that does that?  I bet if you considered a 1.75u shift key that you would find more options.

BTW. By "Big-Ass Enter", people more often mean the larger backwards-L key that is like the union of the ANSi and ISO Enter/return keys.
