The Group Buy for the Split 60 is Live!

The Split60 is a high end 60% keyboard that is split down the middle. It has been designed with ergonomics in mind whilst also keeping a simple but very loved layout. The Split60 offers many different options to create the perfect custom keyboard for you. Those options include:

Top Case
        - HHKB
        - Winkey (WK)
Case Colour options
        - Black
        - Purple
        - E-Beige
Spacer (the insert in the centre of the board where the board splits)
        - Aluminium (matched to your board colour)
        - Polycarb (allowing LED shine through)[/li][/list]

Each of these options has been chosen after many different design changes and prototypes.

The MX PCB will be supported in VIAL. The EC PCB will be supported in VIA. Both PCBs have been designed to accommodate both 2u and 3u stabs for the spacebars.

Features:
    - Split 60% design
    - HHKB or WK top case
    - 7 degree typing angle
    - Supports MX (hotswap) or EC PCB
    - Brass weights
    - Interchangeable spacers (the insert in the centre of the board where the board splits) to allow LED shine-through
    - Optional tenting support
    - Optional magnet support

Topre/EC

During the design phase of the Split60, we really wanted to create the perfect split EC HHKB keyboard. We feel we were able to achieve that with a lot of blood sweat and tears.

The Split60 supports both an MX and an EC PCB (designed by Cipulot). The EC PCB requires a different plate and specific custom designed EC components from AEBoards. The EC Kit is available to purchase here. You have the option to purchase just the plate, standoffs and EC PCB and the option to add in the additional Naevies switches to have a fully working kit.

Unfortunately due to design constraints, other EC components (such as OEM parts) will not work in this board.

Price: $480 USD

Minimum Order Quantity is 25. If 25 units are not sold, the project will be cancelled and orders will be refunded. There will be VERY few extras ordered for this.

Group Buy Dates: 3rd of July 2025 - 28th of July 2025

Your post lists $480 price tag, the website lists $780, is this an error on GH or for the website?

Looks like the website has the price in AUD, $780AUD to USD is about ~505USD at the time of this comment, guessing it was ~$480USD when 0ldMate made the post

Super cool project, really wish I had the funds right now cause I'd absolutely snag it, good luck with the GB!

Fair play, I appreciate the feedback. Not going to change at this point though.

Cheers!

Impressive. Finally, the first EC 'HHKB' with split spacebar support. Lack of wireless support on a really 'split' keyboard is a no go for me though, especially at the price point where it the cable clutter would always be annoying me. Glad to see it made MOQ though, hopefully there's a wireless version in the future.

Did this end up supporting stepped caps?
