Gud' idea
o
Bad idea? :D

Relationships are difficult and people are becoming exponentially more lazy.
The most difficult relationships of all are raising children, but they are also the most rewarding.
No pain, no champagne.
-
The main problem Tp4 thinks will be a rapid impact to population.
Less people is NOT good, population decline is the absolute worst outcome. People greatly misunderstand population dynamics.
-
population dynamics.
I was considering your inquiry on the personal (=interpersonal) level.
The overwhelming majority of the relationships in life do not result in procreation. Relationships between meat intelligences have been steeply declining since electronic devices advanced beyond the telephone.
All I can do is feel sorry for people who don't engage in satisfying relationships because they are too lazy or misanthropic to establish them. I can't help but recall the old saying - In order to have a friend, you have to be a friend.
If you can't leave the screen to enjoy "real life" then I guess you deserve to have Grok X. Musk IV as your bestie.

I suppose we live in a time where it's generally easy to live day to day without ever leaving your home. Having an AI gf just checks 1 more type of human interaction off the list.
Eventually AI will get so good that we won't be able to tell robot "companions" apart from real women. (Yes like in all those recent movies). Population decline is a very real thing, I fear for our future.

I see this just as a way to exploit vulnerable people. It lies on the same spectrum as scientology and dealing narcotics, in my view.
-
I think the kinda people who would pursue this notion as an attractive inevitability, maybe the World is better off without them reproducing anyway.
Let them have it
-
Dude this is such a comically bad idea I'm convinced that its a method of population control

This is the primary problem with current developed economies.
People are FED, what comes next, Super-Normal Experiences, has been pushed to the forefront as progress, but in reality all modern industries merely cater to the hijacking of the Limbic-System.
It's not any 1 thing that's, a narcotic, EVERYTHING, EVERY Industry is selling narcotics.
What is music, a hijacking of the auditory system to produce "Pleasure." We've got music, but are now Deaf to the sounds of the earth.. We don't know what the forest sounds like, we don't know how to listen for predators, the call of certain birds alerting us to the ripening of certain fruits/ food at a certain time of year, the diversity of noise indicating the health of the ecosystem. All of these animistic entanglements with NATURE lost.
We have no price in our economy on a Healthy-forest, we do have prices for All the Dumb-Crap Tp4 buys. Amplifiers, GPU, QDOLED, PTM7950.
There is a misguided, myopic belief, that food comes from the grocery store, or even that food comes from a farm.
FOOD, comes from nature, the rain, the atmosphere are all maintained BY the network of living biomass that we're killing off rapidly.
The average farmer is 60 years old, and farms 1500 acres per person, using enormous fossil fuel inputs, without fossil fuels, which powers machinery + irrigation, fertilizer (extremely energy intensive to produce), that 60yr old will be (unreliably) farming about 2-3 acres, maybe double that with a cow + his kids, the downstream effect from 1500 to 3 is cataclysmic.
40% of Indians in India are direct farmers, up to 80% have some work related to Farming. WTH, they're 1.12 billion farmers? Kinda, Yea. But @Tp4, why india peeps so love farm'n ??
They have significantly lower access to "Energy." They don't have the buying power on fossil fuels.
Where does all this fossil fuel come from. It's a 1 time Inheritance, and we're squandering it to destroy the very Mother of it all, the Origin of all that we have.
