i'm mostly just eating fruit when its snack time, and that's all seasonal. maybe we need a top 5 fruit thread. as far as unhealthy stuff goes my top two are sour belts and chips, but both I have less than once a month.

Cucumber and bell pepps with hummus or baba ganoush
roasted unsalted cashews (I've eaten entire 1lb bags in one sitting)
beef or turkey jerky or biltong
meat wrap/breadless sandwich where you take a slice of deli meat and a slice of cheese and roll it up into a tube
hard sourdough pretzels

Tp4 is not so hot on hummus, though delicious,  Tp4 has always suspected something is wrong with hummus.

It's hard to compare savoury and sweet food, but alas
1. Turkish börek, especially with the spinach and cheese filling
2. Seasonal fruit, strawberries probably being the best in my area
3. Pineapple: can be brain-meltingly delicious, but preparing it is a pain
4. Hungarian pogácsa, these buns made with a hybrid yeasted and laminated dough and typically topped with cheese
5. Mango. Same issue as with pineapples.
Nuts are delicious, but they don't make it into the top 5 for me, and I won't count chocolates, brownies, cookies etc. as snacks.

Here all you guys are listing fruits and nuts and junk, and here I am munching on (not in any particular order):
1. Small mound of milk chocolate chips with a spoon-full of peanut butter
2. Kringle pastry heated in toaster oven
3. Sliver of red velvet cake from a local bakery (a rare treat)
4. Xtra sharp cheddar cheese on crackers (topped with basil leaves when available)
5. Small bowl of Raisin Bran cereal w/oat milk

Cheddar with basil, now that's something I've got to try.

Kringles are really good, love that Trader Joe's carries them. The raspberry cream cheese and blueberry ones are my favorites.
