First of all, thank you for Round 2. However, I do have a few things to say. First, why weren't all color candidate samples presented at the IC stage? Many people likely struggle to visualize colors accurately without seeing actual swatches. For example, take orange, the range of shades within that color is very broad. Some oranges might be preferred, while others might not be preferred. Therefore, I think presenting all color samples is essential for an appropriate IC.
And, you mentioned on Discord recently that the only colors shown as samples—red and beige—were actually your favorite colors. What do you think about that? Was that truly an appropriate IC?
Furthermore, one of the colors ultimately chosen was camo green, but at the IC stage, it was forest green. Unfortunately, camo green and forest green are different colors. Many people who voted for forest green must have been surprised by the result, right?
I have said a lot above, and I hope they can serve as a reference for future ICs.

The Altair and Altair-X Round 2 look like fantastic updates that stay true to the original design while offering meaningful enhancements. The addition of new colors and versatile addons like the soft carrying pouch, aluminum weights, and the PBS keycap set really expand customization options. I appreciate the focus on quality with improved screw threads and the inclusion of both solder and hot-swap PCB options. Overall, it seems like a well-rounded package for enthusiasts seeking a premium, customizable keyboard with a sleek design. Excited to see how the community responds once these are released!

So, if I understand correctly, the USB-C on the custom daughterboards is used to:
1.Connect the left and right PCBs,
2.Connect one of the PCBs to the computer,
3.Enable gasket mounting.

Is that right? Can either the left or the right PCB be used to connect to the computer, or is it limited to just one side?

The keyset for the Altair has been finalized! We will be offering a single kit of PBS Cirispin, in collaboration with keebibi. We're pretty certain MSRP will be $35 for the single kit, but we're still working out the small details.

Can we get a 2nd shift, for people who use the enter on the thumb cluster? Also why are there 2 raise? Is one of them supposed to be fn?

The kitting will likely stay the same, as the goal is to keep the kitting to the stock layout and not much else. In the future, we will have a very robust 40s kit that will have a ton more coverage if that is something you're interested in. The kitting for this will be similar to PBS MV Classic (https://cannonkeys.com/products/pbs-mv-classic?variant=42567291338863). Regarding the extra raise, the original set had two raise and we wanted it to be here in the second round as well. We have to make a lot of choices when kitting out something as limited as this, so unfortunately there will be some things people want that will not make the cut.
