http://www.mauseum.net/Tastatura/
be sure to check out the mouse section
-
Lol,
Model M = "IBM Klick 1995"
"ab 1990 bunte" Section for the Mice are the more amusing of the bunch. Though MS cheese mouse is interesting nonetheless.

Feeling the love for Apple...

Cool, I believe they've added to that site. And that Mouse collection is impressive.

Looking at this website I feel that its owner is fully unaware of geekhack. I wonder if he ever bothered to pull a key cap to see what switches are underneath, or cared about double shots.
It's like msiegel discovered a new continent and found a fairly developed civilization which follows the keyboard collection cult, but did not yet invent the key cap puller.
I suggest that this new continent should be called Msiegelia.
@clickclack: Make some glass-keycaps. Maybe we can trick him in trading his older keyboards against them;-)

TIL (Today I Learned) that NextStep was for porn. (http://www.mauseum.net/NeXTcolor/NeXT-color_12.jpg)
Well, duh. Every operating system's primary purpose is to display porn.
I bought a used Atari 800 - it came with disks of low-res porn. I bought a used C64 - it came with disks of low-res porn. One of the key advantages of the Amiga was that it was a "porn upgrade" from the earlier 8-bits. (it could display high-res porn)
24-bit graphics cards, video acceleration, 3D... all just to improve "porn efficiency".

Is that an infinity symbol on the Mac Plus numpad? That's odd. How often do you use infinity in your calculations? (...aside from calculating US deficits...)
-
I had no idea that the German computer QWERTZ layout dates to original IBM PC at least. These IBM folks were thorough. The only significant change since then was the Esc key moving from the top left corner of the alphanumeric block. Apple just added @/pound there, while IBM chose ^ (moved away from Shift-#) / ° and changed Shift-# to apostrophe '.
Is that an infinity symbol on the Mac Plus numpad?
'00' is more likely.

Is that an infinity symbol on the Mac Plus numpad?
i think it's "clear", a box with an x through it: [X]
-
No, it's definitely an infinity symbol. The Apple Extended I has one in the same place.
I know the intention of this is to show how much keyboards have advanced, but I can't help but think the opposite.

*PAGING mr_a500*
that's not your brainstorm terminal on the shelf in ripster's 1st pic, is it??
-
No, it's definitely an infinity symbol.
No, it's not - it's a box with an X through it (as per msiegel's post), to indicate the Clear function.
-
Mauseum has the Apple IIc wrongly identified as Mac.

Sorry, my pager was off. (...didn't want to be interrupted during sex)
Where's the Brainstorm terminal? You mean two shelves below the Lisa 2? Maybe. I'd need to see another angle. (..or that handy "enhancement" feature in Blade Runner)
-
No, it's not - it's a box with an X through it (as per msiegel's post), to indicate the Clear function.
It's a pretty rounded "box". My French Canadian AEK has a square box with an X through it - and it doesn't look like infinity. It's definitely the "Clear" function, but on my other four old Mac keyboards, it just says "clear".

(I assume you press the "suppr" button when you want your supper and the "aide" button if you've got AIDS.)
Edit: Now that I've looked at the pictures again, I see the symbols are the same. OK, no infinity then. (I'm infinitely disappointed)

?
i just like those fishbone arrow thingies :)
-
Yeah... I also like the dotted arrows - they're like saying "a little bit left".
-
Yeah... I also like the dotted arrows - they're like saying "a little bit left".
I hate the dotted arrows. I always think I scrubbed too hard when cleaning the keyboard and rubbed off part of the labels.
-
Yeah... I also like the dotted arrows - they're like saying "a little bit left".
Those are speed lines. They emphasize motion, so you don't accidentally think that pressing them will type the symbols ←↓→ and ↑.
-
Speed lines, eh? (...goes to gouge dots into every keyboard arrow to make them go faster...)
-
No, it's not - it's a box with an X through it (as per msiegel's post), to indicate the Clear function.
It's actually the smallest known ASCII representation of Goatse: (X)
