Let me show you a little project that started with a lucky eBay find.
A few months ago I picked up this keyboard, made back in 1982.
Despite its age, it still works flawlessly the moment you plug it in – no dead keys, no weird behavior, just that solid old-school feel.

always been a fan of the C64 lineup, so I started wondering:
instead of just keeping it as a nostalgic relic, could I give it a fresh look and a few modern touches.
Without changing the original legends, I experimented with adding blue, green, red, and orange as accent colors. The goal was to keep the classic layout and vibe, but make the keycaps feel a bit less monotonous and a lot more lively.

That’s how this “new C64” look was born.
We also made a product display render so you can get a better idea of how it all comes together on the board.

Since sustainability is basically a must these days, the packaging is made from biodegradable PS material. It’s designed to protect the keycaps during shipping while keeping the overall footprint as low as possible.

We produced several sample sets and tried them on different keyboards.
We took a bunch of photos so you can see how the colors play with different cases and layouts – not just in theory, but on real boards.
