That's not possible, the CREW wouldn't be together if it was that far back.
Reanimated seems trivial. Don't even need ghost characters, Easy, Just do a Space Grail Quest, like in Outlaw Star, the anime they ripped off.

I watched the movie first, and didn't feel like I missed anything then, nor did I feel that missing pieces were filled in when I watched the TV show.

I dont think I even finished the movie. Remember the scene where they left that girl in some room, when came back everyone was dead, or something like that.
Downloaded the show, need to watch it.
I like the main actor, he is very likeable if you know what I mean.
I guess I better watch it all and then will see how I like it.

"The girl" was always the mystery. Spoiler alert - she was trained as an assassin.
Before "Firefly" was "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and after came "Dollhouse" - there is clearly a trajectory of bad-ass females.

He was merely ripping off the 80s anime he watched. He's never had an inventive moment in his entire life.
It was merely serendipitous that the forces of nature came together in a certain way to create FIREFLY. weeden's contribution was minimal.
