This is our first IC post here. We’re bringing you an elegant retro keyboard with a 50% layout.

·Exterior Design
We drew inspiration from a 1980s typewriter and incorporated its classic silhouette into our new keyboard design.
We refined the exterior lines, resulting in this charming cupcake-shaped side profile, as well as an extended “forehead” on the top of the keyboard.
The 50% layout serves as the starting point for our RetroTyper series.
We believe this layout aligns better with classic typewriter layouts and is ideal for immersive typing.
We believe this layout fits the spirit of those classic typewriters perfectly.

On the keyboard’s forehead, we’ve preserved the core input area of typewriters—the typebar zone—in the central core region as an engraved logo, making it the signature of this keyboard series.

You may have already noticed the buttons on the keyboard’s forehead.
Designed with a cute jelly bean shape, these buttons are magnetically attached and fully customizable to any function.
The rightmost component is an encoder, which is also programmable.

The default 6.25U spacebar supports split spacebars, which enhances the versatility of the layout.

The keyboard case is held firmly in place by magnetic adsorption.
Inside, we’ve gone with a PCB-Gasket setup cushioned by PORON foam strips, along with a 1.6 mm PCB and an aluminum alloy plate.
