GMK CYL EVIL LIME
Hi, im Nad and let me introduce my first set, Evil Lime — a set based on GMK N9 and CR base colors, and for the legends, I chose to use a custom purple and lime colors. To be honest, there's not much else to say; I just think they work really well together.
This is also a first step toward understanding the community's interest in this set.
Any additional kitting or changes to the base kit will be evaluated later.

SAMPLES:
The purple changes a bit depending on the light but The first 2 image are pretty accurate, The last one was taken outdoors and the purple came out a bit darker than usual.
The two purple at the top are the old sample that I discarded and DY purple.

This is nice! I'd like to see it with darker alpha base color though (like, say GMK Slasher) to make the purple really pop more. I always thought that CR and N9 are actually slightly too far apart in terms of tint to work that well together.

Thank you! I thought about it, and that's why I chose not to use a darker purple (like the one of hyperfuse) but something in between purple and magenta... But I'll keep your idea in mind too

Pantone purple-c (pure violet) might be a good option to consider, since the 2070C you chose is still on a darker purple spectrum IMO

Sounds great! In case you do decide on this kitting. Any chance we would see renders of lime legends with black alpha's and with grey alpha's. So that we can see which pairing looks better? Either way I'm in!

I understand the skepticism, to have a comparison it would be very similar to darksel with the lime extension, for me it is a great combination but I understand that it is a matter of taste.

- I read a lot of feedback and they were very helpful, I decided to change the purple to improve the clarity of alphas, and to consider a possible full lime kit(with purple alpha as extension)... I created a form to understand your preference :)

that's a great followup with the renders. I own all of the GMK sets with N9 and I definitely think the new renders look closer to my IRL experience. :thumb: Still makes me want the all lime version even more. It looks amazing. I do agree that the purple needs more of a punch to match that lime intensity.

Same color, but under different lighting.
Generally speaking, this always applies: Daylight contains lots of blue, making any color look rather cool and crisp. Warm desk lights lack blue and push red/yellow, making the exact same plastic suddenly look warmer. This is simply how ABS reacts to different lighting conditions in general. You will always be able to see both sides of this spectrum, depending on which lighting conditions you put them under.

Yes, it’s the same lime color. It’s difficult to capture the exact shade in photos, and as GMK mentioned above, it can appear slightly different depending on the lighting. As a reference, Pantone 389C should be the same color used for GMK Toxic. From what I’ve seen, it tends to look more yellowish-lime under bright, warm lighting, while under neutral or cool natural light it appears a bit greener. Obviously, it’s not the same green as GMK Lime, but I can assure you that it’s definitely a shade of lime and not pure yellow.
