This was another project I originally planned at the beginning of the year. At the time,
I wanted to try using metallic-colored plastic for the alpha keys of the Knight keycap set, but I ultimately decided against it because of the visible flow lines that can occur with injection molding.
However, this effect is much less noticeable when the metallic color is used for the legends. I also wanted to make a red keycap set, which eventually led to this project.
This set is based on the character Nero.
Below are the keycap renders. Please note that the colors may differ slightly from the actual color samples.

Since the Romans used Latin, I chose Japanese as the sublegend option to reflect the character’s origin in a Japanese game.
Metallic plastic legends
The metallic color can appear noticeably different depending on the lighting, so I made renders under different lighting conditions to show how the color changes.

I’m not sure if GMK’s sublegend printing can achieve a metallic effect.
For the novelties and other kits,
I’d like to wait for the GMK samples before making a final decision on how to produce them.
I’ll update this IC in more detail after the Knight keycap GB.
