Title: Model M with Black Thinkpad Finish

I want to paint my model m's to have the rubber/satin feel of a old school thinkpad.  The new thinkpads have a different feel and doesn't have that rubber feel.   I want a matte/satin finish.

I was on the thinkpad forums and one guy was using PlastiDip black paint.  Do you guys recommend this also?  

Would it look better if I painted the blank black keys from unicomp?  Should I use a primer?
